(LKDAJFGH sry is short and nothing rly happens in it, im rly tired D'x ) The bar was crowded today. It was the end of the week and jobs were finished; patrons sat around the counter, ordering drinks, talking loudly, flirting – whatever struck their fancy after a long days’ work. It had turned dark and dusky outside, the dim sun finally setting down below the horizon. The insides of the buildings blazed with orange light through the windows, and the red lamps that lined the streets were lit up; Dirge was just as alive with human activity as it had been during the day.
Jahel thrived in these kinds of settings. Lots of people, lack of inhibition, liquor…all a perfect mixture for him. The simple fact of the matter was that Jahel loved people. He could not have lived without them. More than food and water, they supplied the power that he loved the most, that he needed more than anything; their adoration, praise and even their fear gave him more nourishment than any meal – soul-food, so to speak. He fed off of them and they loved it. He was a predator among a vast majority of prey, and most were willing to let him sink in his fangs and drain them until they were no longer useful to him, or until he forgot.
And when they were cast aside Jahel thought of them no longer. He had no regret. He slept easy every night with nary a shadow of a doubt in his head: it was simply divine.
Jahel could be like others and simply take what he wanted by force, but he preferred them to be willing. After all, where did one get in society by doing everything by force? Almost everything was solved by wit and subterfuge and Jahel understood this completely. There was no need for intimidation unless the situation clearly warranted it. Most of the time it did not. He exercised it daily, and tonight was no exception. He charmed with clever words and enticed them with good-will, but in the end it was in Jahel’s nature to do nothing except what benefited himself and himself alone.
And so he spent that night like a wolf among sheep.

Rum was the same in Sideris as it was in Caedere. No surprise there. The pubs were packed, but there were far less wenches and courtesans about. Most likely this had something to do with the strict law in Sideris. Sure, prostitution was illegal in Caedere, but no one was romping around enforcing those laws. Here the pubs and streets were filled with tough-looking military men. Ilvyn was surprised the citizens of Sideris were even allowed the pleasure of having local bars.
If I can’t find any free women it’s time to move on to the next best thing…
Vyn was hardly drunk. Buzzed, maybe, but not so much it was noticeable. The boy often forgot his drinks when he was looking for someone to bed. The fel’asar had poor charisma so usually these things took time. Finding someone easy enough to get into bed with Ilvyn could be difficult and often required them to be worse off than he when it came to drinks. Right now it was one of those moments where he was too busy looking to really remember he had rum in front of him.
Uniforms? Super sexy, but I don’t know if I want to try to woo someone of the Sideris military…it could be worth trying my luck…
That was when Ilvyn spotted a tall guy. A giant guy, really, nearly seven feet tall and seemingly taller to the short statured Vyn. It would be difficult for anyone to not notice this guy. He stood above everyone in this place and to top it off had a head full of bright-red hair. The man was asking to be stared at. The longer Ilvyn stared at the guy the more he wanted to talk to him. The boy was wondering what it would be like to lie in bed with a giant.
Maybe I’ll just drop some hints. If he doesn’t look like he’s biting I’ll go somewhere else. Easy peasy.
One could never be too cautious in Sideris. Ilvyn was all for causing havoc in Caedere, where law enforcement was horribly lax, and his only competitors were fellow criminals. If he made the wrong move in this bar…well, it was filled with men in uniform. So many things could go wrong here and Vyn had a feeling breaking out of a prison in Dirge would be harder than breaking out of one in Silvereye.
“Heeeeyyyy, tall guy,” was the first thing that came out of Ilvyn’s mouth when he slid up next to him. “You look kind of lonely here all by yourself. Where is your woman…?”
Or your man? Hopefully you don't have one. Yet.

Jahel turned to address a small voice next to him. It belonged to what looked like a small Fel’asar, with horns sticking right out of his head, who had suddenly chosen to saddle up next to him.
He raised his eyebrow. “Hopefully in the near future,” he said, with a sultry chuckle. He answered evasively, picking his way carefully around Vyn – he’d heard advances time and time again, of course, but it was the very situation that lent him some hesitation. He had no qualms that the Fel’asar was the same sex as he. He was simply of the firm opinion that Fel’asar were lonely, prickly creatures uninterested in many pleasures except for stealing and just in general misery-making. Jahel’s dark eyes observed him. He could sense no under-handedness in Vyn’s motives, but there was, quite clearly, the thinly veiled suggestion that he was “interested”. It was a very human kind of feeling and Jahel was surprised to find it in one such as Vyn.
Was it worth pursuing? He looked young, anyhow. He could dismiss him right now and be done with it. But Jahel was never one to back out of an offer without thoroughly testing the waters.
Jahel chose to dive a little deeper. “You look a bit young to be around here, kid,” he said, his voice like a dark purr. There was the smell of alcohol on Jahel’s breath, but it did not seem to affect him very much. His words were not even a smidge slurred. “Are you sure you should be drinking that?” He glanced down to the drink in Vyn’s hands.
Then he lifted his arm; the long coat on his shoulders lent it a wing-like appearance as he put it half-way over Vyn, as though shielding him. He was warm and inviting. “Come on, I’ll show you the way out.”

“Young?” Ilvyn cocked a brow. Did he really appear so childlike? It seemed so many people were surprised to see a young man hanging out in ‘adult’ places like this. Vyn wasn’t as old as this guy, but he was old enough. “I’m eighteen, an adult, and I’ve been one for a while. I can drink whatever I want to.”
Ilvyn could already tell this man was a tad ahead when it came to drinks. The smell of alcohol had tainted his breath and his words sounded heavy on his tongue. His charm seemed largely unaffected and he was lucky for that. Charisma was a weapon; one which Vyn had never managed to master, but this man was certainly skilled in it. At least the bastard had snapped onto the bait like one curious little fish. Using his allure on Vyn meant he had taken an interest in the boy. By the sound of his voice, more than just a fatherly concerned interest.
“Oh, show me the way out?” Vyn questioned, his own voice thick with lust. “Where are you taking me?”
The ease at which this was going was surprising to Vyn. It was rare that he would hit it off with another man right away. Perhaps he should be suspicious? He was starting to realize he wasn’t sure who was in control of this situation any longer. The boy thought it was him when approaching the stranger, but now he wasn’t so sure. Does it matter? This will only be a fling, won’t it?
Ilvyn did not immediately hop to his feet. Instead he put his hand on Jahel’s chest as if to hold him back, contain him. It was warm…perhaps…more than just a simple touch. “Someone is in a hurry tonight. Having a hard time keeping it in your pants, sweetheart?” Not that Ilvyn was offended. Vyn was having troubles himself, but there was one thing he needed to know before they continued. “And what is your name, love?”
Snooping into personal information wasn’t Vyn’s thing, but he needed something to call the guy. He did not need a full name, or even his real name, but it seemed better to ask him now than later when things got to be more than simple flirting. Or at least Ilvyn hoped this would turn out to be more than just flirting, but the boy had been lead on plenty of times before. Disappointing, but survivable.

He paused. Slowly, Jahel settled back down. Very well, his expression seemed to say, so loudly that he might as well have said it.
With Vyn’s hand on his chest, Jahel’s arm seemed to have surreptitiously settled on his smaller, thinner shoulders without him looking. He was warm, but somehow oppressive; his dark eyes studied the young Fel’asar as a smile spread across his lips. “Eighteen, mm?” he asked. “I was going to show you the way out, you know.” Something rumbled deep in his chest, a soft chuckle. “You’re pushing it.”
Jahel was indeed curious about the Fel’asar. He had hooves, he noticed, along with his two pointed horns – but he had a cute face. It was well known that Jahel preferred women but he was not averse to indulging himself in the other sex from time to time. Though Vyn was not precisely what he was looking for in a man, he still found himself appreciating his slight size, tapering face, and the pure novelty of it all. Besides, he’d come on first, hadn’t he? He had wanted it. And more often than not Jahel was willing to comply. He leaned closer, resting his lips against his forehead, watching as the Fel’asar’s tail curled up. His hot breath scored Vyn’s skin, scanning him from his temple to the bottom of his jaw like he would with any fresh blood, forcing the Fel’asar to tilt his head back so he could put a small, warm kiss there. “My name is Jahel,” he purred, his lips making a soft, sweet sound as he drew away from his skin. “And yours?”
Jahel did not exactly wait for his answer. He’d captured him neatly in his grasp, listening to the vibrations in his throat as Vyn answered, moving his scarred lips up his neck. The feel of physical dominance enticed him. He kissed twice and then pressed his flesh between his teeth gently, feeling for the jolt that followed.
But then he paused – pulled back. “I don’t know, kid,” he sighed. “Maybe you’re a little too young for this, eh?” His arm left his shoulder.

“Pushing it?” Ilvyn smiled. “I haven’t a clue what you are talking about.”
These men were having too much fun playing with one another. Perhaps because they were men and their hearts were not as fragile. Between the two of them it would be difficult for one to say which was worse. Surely this tall, red-haired warrior knew better than to play with the hearts of little boys, but Ilvyn had started it by leading him on. Nevertheless, Ilvyn was enjoying these games, for now. Lack of patience would, no doubt, get the better of him in a while.
Then this stranger drew close and put his lips on Ilvyn’s forehead. The boy drew in air and held his breath. That felt nice. That felt really nice. He had some skill in seducing his lovers, Ilvyn had to admit. The feeling of warm lips along his face was a comfort to Vyn, as well as a sore reminder of the one thing he couldn’t have. The one thing that this encounter was only pretending to be. Better to enjoy the moment than to let bitterness overcome him. This was only the beginning, after all.
“Jahel,” He said with a chuckle. “You can call me Vyn.”
Wait, are you- Vyn thought, before jerking a bit. Before he could say anything Jahel suddenly hesitated. Then stood up, taking his face and hands with him. Ilvyn couldn’t be positive if what Jahel was saying was serious. He had a poker face when he said it. Vyn made no effort to hide his own emotions and glowered at Jahel in return. Now he was starting to think Jahel was the kind of man to leave him with blue balls just for the hell of it. His mind was screaming, WHY DID YOU STOP? WE WERE JUST GETTING STARTED!
“What? You’re worried about my age? Of all the things that could bother you about this?” Such as…my race? Or gender? “I may not be a suave as you, I admit, but I have some experience. So much that I might as well be your age. Just in a fitter, lither, sexier body.”
Vyn was claiming to be sexy. This had potential to go places, although maybe not the places Ilvyn would like them to. “Not that you aren’t sexy yourself…but you are competing with this.” Vyn gestured to himself in one sweeping motion. “I would be a little shy too if I had such an amazing fel’asar standing in front of me. You don’t need to cover it up with the whole ‘age’ issue, darling, I understand. Completely.”

(I like your little slowpoke its so cute >3< ) “Confident, mm?” he mused. The corner of his lips twitched; it might have been the beginnings of a smile, or a frown, but Jahel hinted at neither. For a mere heartbeat he studied him. Too small, too frail, too vulnerable? No. But there was no denying he was young. Poor boy probably had little to no idea what he was getting into; Jahel had tested the waters and found them a little shallow. But from the way he spoke – well, he sounded experienced enough. Either that, or just eager.
“I’m not sure you’re ready for this,” Jahel said. “Vyn.” His voice was smooth, like water over dark stones. He was still close, and when he leaned even closer Vyn might see the glint in his dark eyes and the length of his canines, and how his body gave off a certain heat. There was the shine of gold hung around his neck, starkly contrasted by the tan color of his skin. It fell out of his shirt and dangled in front of him as he spoke quietly to the Fel’asar. “What’ve you been up to, eh?” he asked. “Finding partners left an right, without a shred of thought. I bet they’ve turned out to be just as fallow as you.” His eyes narrowed as he smiled, his right one, the scarred one, even more so. “You think you want to play with the big boys now? Is that it?”
Jahel let out a solid laugh, just threw his head back and spat it out – then reached behind him, took his glass of liquor and downed it quickly.
He shuddered as it passed through his formidable body, shaking himself out of its effects. Jahel licked his teeth; his eyes fell on Vyn, and proceeded to look surprised that he was still there. He relaxed. “Well you might be right, Fel’asar, you might be as sexy as you say. – Well, c’mere then,” Jahel invited him. When he was too slow Jahel took the initiative, gathering him close so that he touched his chest; his voice lowered, finding its way into his ears like a dark serpent and guiding him closer. “Why don’t you kiss me then?”
Even those simple words sounded powerful, almost like an order, as though he fully expected it to be fulfilled or so help him Maker.

[OoC: His name is Ilvyn. Also I had a weird dream the other night that Jahel was an impossible-to-pronounce name. LOL!]
Confident? Sure, why should Vyn not be confident? The fel’asar boy was accustomed to being put down so what did he had to lose by flaunting his stuff? Not his pride, not here and not now. Jahel was just as guilty of these liaisons as he, and although Ilvyn didn’t realize it, Jahel had a reputation to upkeep. If he called Vyn out for being anything but what the boy told him, Vyn would make sure to exact some revenge.
You’re sexy. But I don’t love you, so don‘t expect me to be nice.
“I retract my earlier statement,” Vyn suddenly said. The fel‘asar wore a cool smirk. “There isn’t a suave bone in your body. You just like to pretend there is.”
Jahel was making a show of being sexy and Ilvyn would have appreciated it more if he wasn’t doing it while putting the fel’asar down. Fallow? What did he mean by that? “Hey! I can’t help if I’m a very sexual creature,” Ilvyn said, slightly defensive. “You can blame my mom’s side for that. Why should I abstain anyways?” Well, if that statement didn’t hint to Jahel that Ilvyn was a raging hedonist nothing would. “Sex is fun, and if by ‘big’ you mean ‘really fucking tall’. Then yeah. Sure. I’ll go with that.”
There Jahel went, with another swig of liquor. I hope you’re a happy drunk, man, or this is going to end badly. Vyn’s own drink was left untouched and he wondered how long it would take for Jahel’s latest drink to hit him. He was pretty tall, so it might be a while. Ilvyn knew that the more Jahel took in the more he would let his guard down…the sloppier he would get as well, so it wasn’t completely a positive thing if the boy was looking for a pleasurable fling. He seemed to be warming up to Ilvyn. Seemed, but it was difficult to tell. The drinks would ruin Jahel’s act.
You’re hard to read right now, but I bet in a bit you’ll be pretty forward.
Jahel must have decided that whatever reservations he was holding about getting involved with Vyn had long been thrown out the window, and Ilvyn found himself being pulled into his arms. Jahel enveloped Vyn, he was so tall. For once Vyn had to secretly admit to himself that this is what most women must feel like, being substantially smaller than men. That was a turn-on, strangely enough. You’re warm. You smell…like alcohol, honestly, but I like that smell. You- oh, what’s this trinket around your neck?
Vyn tried his hardest to ignore the command in Jahel’s voice. He had learned something about this red-haired giant. Jahel was noble or rich or both. That had the potential to turn Ilvyn away, but where one finds noblemen one finds gold, and Vyn couldn’t walk away from that. If it wasn’t the way Jahel was speaking to him that tipped it off, it was his clothes and that thing around his neck. Vyn needed it. Needed to steal it. It must be worth something.
Picking his hoof up, he set it on the stool and used it to push his face to Jahel’s level. There were no tip-toes for Ilvyn; standing normally for him was like standing on tip-toes 24/7. Without his thick tail to act as a counter-balance there was no chance Ilvyn could walk, much less stand. Alas, he needed to stand on the stool if he wanted to kiss Jahel, so he did. Vyn was also less subtle than Jahel; instead of working his way to the kiss he just snogged him right there. Multitasking, Ilvyn ran his fingers through Jahel’s long, luscious hair with one hand, while the other hand traveled down his chest. Before his wandering fingers could get very far, they stopped at the chain. Twisting his fingers around it, Vyn had every intention of snapping it off quickly, hoping Jahel wouldn’t notice a little pressure at the back of his neck. Jahel was busy up here, after all, he wouldn’t worry about what was going on down there?

(sry for shortness :C )
Vyn’s apparent obedience seemed to please him. He’d never known Fel’asar to be a sexually driven creature, but here one was, standing before him; and Jahel supposed he could get used to it. Hooves or no, he had to assume that he was eager and willing and what right had he to discriminate after all? The Fel’asar’s kiss was warm – and demanding. Jahel didn’t know exactly what he was expecting, but this took him by surprise. It was no love-peck. It was needy.
Vyn had had him leaning backwards for a second, caught off guard by the Fel’asar’s want, but Jahel soon recovered. His grip around him tightened, and he responded avidly. The kiss deepened – Jahel pressed forward, eager to claim him, until he felt his hand around his neck. Jahel’s dark eyes blinked and then opened. The Fel’asar had his hand up around him; he could feel him working at the gold chain’s clasp. The heavy metal jingled lightly against his skin.
His eyes narrowed and, suddenly, he’d pushed Vyn away, shoving him off. His lip curled up in a scowl. “Should’ve known better,” he spat. “Your kind’s all the same, aren’t you?”
Jahel turned away from him, his face and eyes flashing disappointment and seething anger, but luckily he did not act on it. He merely turned away from him – did not speak, or meet his eye, or anything of that sort, making his rejection clear. He had no time to deal with games tonight; he was certainly not in the mood for it.

Calling it a ‘mistake’ was a serious understatement. Jahel dropped him, shoved him back into the bar. The man was aware of Ilvyn’s attempt at larceny, or so it seemed. He turned, leaving no doubt, but Vyn wouldn’t let him go that easily. He was angry now, but while Vyn had little charisma he was a wonderful liar. The boy could be convincing enough he believed the lies himself. Now was his last chance to throw out one of those beautiful lies for the sake of sex.
“’Should’ve known better?’” Ilvyn inquired. “What are you talking about?” Vyn would act as if he was unaware of the necklace. After all, his hand had gotten tangled and in the heat of the moment he wasn’t paying much attention to what he was yanking on. It could have been Jahel’s collar for all Ilvyn knew, not a valuable gold necklace. “Was my kiss not up to par with your standards? It would help if you weren’t so damn tall.”
Vyn snagged Jahel by the arm. Though his grip was gentle there was a firmness that implied strength. The boy was not as fragile as he appeared. If Jahel thought he was the only one having his way that night he was sorely mistaken. He would not be walking away from Ilvyn so easily, without a second thought.
Now you will explain to me how all fel’asaris are nasty little thieves and how I shouldn’t play dumb because I tried to steal your necklace. I will act oblivious and conveniently appear I’ve only noticed it after you pointed it out. You misunderstood. I want nothing to do with your jewelry.
“Well, maybe it is time for us to go,” Vyn picked himself up from the bar and slid around Jahel, to his front. “I can get a much better angle lying down. You’ll see.” Vyn offered Jahel an innocent smile, a smile that was begging for a second chance (to kiss him, of course, the boy denied any larceny that may have happened earlier).
