IM rp's

So I was wondering if anyone indulged in IM rp's from time to time (like rp's done on MSN/AIM). This is actually my favorite mode of rp'ing and I'm in the mood to do it more often than forum-based ones for some reason. I dooo...but I'm horrible at setting them up because I have SRS BSNS ADD whenever I get in an IM conversation for some reason. Lolz. But I am in an RP with someone on Skype right now.

I DUNNO. It depends on how long you want the writing to be. On Skype it was multi-paragraph so it takes me longer to reply but if only like 1 paragraph it can go pretty quickly. XD

IM was my exclusive medium there, for a while. I think roleplays over messengers can definitely be awesome because they move faster, if it works out, but setting them up is awfully intimidating for me. :c

Once I get on my own computer again I'll be sure to drop you an I'M though. :3

Different stories do better in different mediums, we've found. Great sweeping battles and anything involving more than two people do best on forums like this, while smaller-scale, character-driven (and therefore more emotion-based) stories tend to blossom over instantaneous messaging, due to the quick response time. Therefore, we feel that both have their place, but as eemps are by their very nature withdrawn, we would prefer not to be contacted. If we wish to speak, we will contact you.

Locke (DP); oh yah I have a Skype too! It's Dayfaxi13 and I'm on it more often than not really...forgot about that one. haha. Anyway, it's alright. My average is 2 paragraphs but I adjust pretty easily, so if you'd prefer shorter I can do that too. Occasionally I'll lose it and type a long time though if I have a lot to say. xD
