I've already got the series on record. I absolutely love the show real vampire concepts in real life situations. All with a healthy spread of faerie dust and magic glittered over the top.

I do not. I watched 2 episodes thinking it would be decent but instead I was treated with PORN. SO MUCH FRICKEN PORN. I swear the entire show is just people fucking each other. While porn has it's time and place, it's always been my opinion that porn doesn't make a very good story- that's why we have cruddy porn movies.
Then again, I can't think of any supernatural shows that have been on...in the history of ever...that I actually liked. Maybe So Weird. But that's pretty much it. Now that it's the 'in' thing because of Twilight it's all ugggghhh. I hate Supernatural MORE than TrueBlood but for completely different reasons. xD

Lol its all cool... there is actually a bit too much porn in the show for my own tastes.. people think sex and gore make a show more "real" or "edgy" but if there was that much Effin goin on in life...well nothing would get done! XD
I just like it since its a little more of a darkish turn towards vamps since Twilight. sure you still have your love story and stuff but thats not where I stake most my attention. its one of those stories with rich SIDE characters you fall for.

It helps if you go into True Blood expecting it to be a B-movie wrapped in a soap opera. Like the corndog of horror shows.
