Although not an awful lot excited the woman these days, the solid structure of a large inn jutting from the wilderness that was the Brumeveil forest brought a bright smile to her face. Small premature wrinkles bunched at the corners of her green eyes and her pace quickened. Didn't think I was gunna get out of this place...
Skipping the last village she had worked in had seemed like a liberating idea at the time, but after a few days of trailing through the woods searching for the next chapter in her life, the idea grew dull. Floating through life all the time. Yet she wouldn't complain as she knew no different but as she grew more mature (even though her mannerisms were childish at times) she did long for something of purpose and a break from all these highs and lows.
For now The Black Dog was a new high and a promise of civilisation and of hopeful employment. If she could settle here for a while she could begin to settle her thoughts again. it never lasted long usually but she would keep trying. Shakeeya knew she was growing tired of wandering aimlessly. She wouldn't mind wondering with some aim however.
Pushing in to the heavy door the small woman stepped into the pub which was somewhat empty during the afternoon but would probably start to grow in population soon. Pulling her travelling cloak's hood away from her head and brushing her firey hair away from her face she surveyed the place with narrowed, analysing eyes. Shakeeya scanned the people at the bar, the regular drunks but she was trying to look behind it for a person of authority. Someone she'd have to act all bubbly for and brag about her wonderful work ethic. Lie in other words. She enjoyed working and knew how to do it well but she enjoyed the money more.
"Know where I can find the manager in this place?" she half heartedly asked a stranger beside her without looking at him.

It had been almost a week since Rahn and Malik made their way to the Black Dog. Almost a week of boredom and full resting, cleaning and stocking up. As comfortable as it was to have a bed and hot bath every night, prepared cooked food and cold beer at a table, the rouge was becoming too restless to last any longer. Malik was hardly doing any better. Being in one area kept him sour. There wasn't much for a camel to do besides eat and sleep. There was the occasional idiot who pestered him simply to hear him talk but nothing adventerous beyond that. No, both the men had enough.
Rahn was scouring over the room looking for any remaining clothes or money he may have left behind, trying to ignore the loud groan that camel was uttering outside to encourage him to go faster. Tan scarry hands groped at the leather pouch left on the nightstand, opening it and checking inside. A deep frown appeared. Grabbing the last of his bags, the man left the bedroom with a large slam to the door and made his way downstairs with a disgruntled face.
Rahn scanned over the room, looking for the one who gave him the room to stay a few days before. His hand had a deathlock on the money pouch that he frowned at a little earlier, his knuckles beginning to go white as he fought to control his temper. One of the things he couldn't stand in this world was someone stealing from him. The little owner would pay if he didn't give up the few coins he managed to get his grubby hands on.
The words that rang out next to him didn't register as first, and it took Rahn a double glance to the girl next to him to realize that she was speaking to him. Piercing brown eyes stared at the red hair that bounced in front of him before the question she asked finally click in his brain, and he offered a grunt, his face darkening.
"No idea, but if you see him before me you better do business fast before I kill him." He said in a darker tone than he usually used. He looked towards the door that he knew lead to the back, before the damn camel moaned towards him again from right outside.
"Oi! Hurry up you old toad before you get more grey in your beard! There're some kids out here starin' and I don't want to be a damn petting zoo!"
Rahn paused in mid step, closed his eyes with a deep intake of breath, cursing the camel before heading towards the door. Well, at least he could go get his weapon to better kill the little thieving urchin instead of just pounding his head in.

Shakeeya had definitely not expected such a response and raised an amused eyebrow towards the tall man who she now acknowledged. His long hair was like a river of chocolate which fascinated her for a microsecond before she returned to the situation. "Well I never did want to work for a dead man," she chided, "So you may aswell go first. So what did he do to deserve this attention?" But before she could get an answer another man had piped up from outside the pub, hurrying the tall man to leave. It was a strange comment though. Petting zoo? Shakeeya's curiousity had certainly been attained and before she knew it she was following the stranger outside.
She stopped quickly noticing that the "man" that had spoken before did not exist and in his place was a rather pissed off looking camel with children circling him. Shakeeya gave a small chuckle of amusement while continuing to watch the show. "You know, you could have your camel friend just throw some insults at that manager instead," she suggested with a dry smirk, "They cut cleaner than a knife."
Her green eyes were distracted by the children still linguering around, even after the disgruntled camel had made his opinion quite clear. It was safe to say Shakeeya was not fond of children. She cast a glare at a few who looked her way, the young humans faultering slightly in their jovial ways as this ice queen appeared. "Shoo."

Rahn was about to raise his arms and urge the kids to get. Being about the camel was probably not only dangerous to their health, as he smelled terrible as always, but the man did not want to deal with crying if the bactrian decided to spit in one of their faces. Before he could really do anything though the woman he spoke to only a moment before chided in, and he looked back towards her. Malik apparently heard this as well, as he raised his head towards her and snorted.
"Friend now am I?" He chorted, stomping a foot which caused the kids to take a step back in surprise. He didn't do Rahn's business just as much as the man didn't do his. Whatever issue Rahn got himself into he could get out of by his lonesome. He wasn't gonna go looking for trouble willingly. Speaking of trouble...
"Oi!" He snapped, whipping his long neck to the side as he felt fingers go through his thick fur. The boy stammered back at the loud groan of anger. Rahn rolled his eyes and took a step forward, but the woman beat him to the task. It didn't take long for the children to disappear into the tavern under her stern look, and he rose an eyebrow at her before heading towards the camel to rummage through some of the bags.
"So why are yah looking for the dead man manager?" He asked as his fingers found the hilt of one of his daggers. He pulled it out and tucked it into the hem of his pants before looking up at her with a small smirk. "Hopefully nothing too important."

Shakeeya felt accomplished as the children scurried away with the camel and human's strange team work. Well if it got rid of rug rats, she'd take it. Turning her attention back to the odd couple infront of the tavern, Shaky was already under the impression that they had a disfunctional relationship. She was about to ask if not a friend, then what was the camel to this human, but decided she didn't care enough at the moment. Instead she was questioned by the tall man.
"Well a girl's gotta eat. Earn some money y'know," she shrugged, "I was running low on coin when this Inn poked out of the forest, but I suppose it's not that pressing. I just won't have a say in where I travel to next." She chuckled slightly but sighed a the same time. Shakeeya enjoyed doing what she wanted and the only thing that dictated her life at the moment was money and needing to have it to survive.
So what did this man want to kill this guy for? "...Money aswell?" she asked glancing towards his dagger," Either that or he slept with your wife. Apparently there's not much more worth killing someone over these days." She smirked broadly however. "Unless he fancies your camel instead?"
