Affiliations: Caedere
Status in Affiliation: Council of Witches {Tower Spy}
Education: Doctorate of Witch Science
Personality:
All work and no play can make anyone a dull person, however, in the case of the no-nonsense woman, there’s an odd twist to the mixture. Yes, upon first glance Cante is a rather anti-social individual, who would rather spend her time reading or studying her works than mingling with those wandering the palace. She’s there for a job, to complete a task and complete this task only and there’s nothing in her body language that even so much as hints as other intentions. Yet, there lurks a strangely humiliating weakness below the surface of the business like individual, whose masking personality often seems forced to the point of strained expressions and awkward greetings in passing. There’s a secret being harbored beneath the chilling indifference on the surface.
The work-a-holic behavior is there to prevent her from indulging in other aspects of her personality, this being first and foremost her inability to know when to quit when it comes to ultimate time consuming currency wasting human compulsion, that being gambling. With fingers always itching to throw the dice or lay down cards it seems imperative for her to focus on other things, and what better things are there to focus on other than wine and liquor when there’s work to be done? And there’s no issue with pretending that there is worked to be done when invited out to social functions or otherwise.
Normally, such an addiction wouldn’t be covered up by odd and awkward means, but when one doesn’t admit to having an issue; it’s hard to solve it.
The Game That We Have Been Playing__________
Skills and Knowledge:
Magic Usage: Curse Branch
Life Story:
The story is simple.
There was a father, a mother, and a daughter, and then there was a terrible explosion thing that poisoned the land. This didn’t bode well for the family, who couldn’t exactly afford to move from the general vicinity to safer healthier areas. Besides, nothing appeared to be wrong with the ash, so why move? Father, stuck in his old ways, allowed them to stay and keep hold of the land, despite its heavy influence, and it wasn’t until they gave birth to their… odd child that they decided the ash was a tad more dangerous than originally intended.
So they found themselves moving to a somewhat balanced area, indulging in the type of life only a middle-class family could, until their child began to display powers of a different variety. While startled and panicked at first they decided the best thing to do would be to immediately hand over the child to someone who could do something much better. Unfortunately, people aren't as generous as they used to be and unwanted children are an equally unwanted expense. Thusly, she was kept hidden until the scouts from the tower rummaged the area, whisking her away to the tower in the process.
While there she managed to accumulate what could only be thought of as a great abundance of… debt, debt that landed her in the service of the palace in order to pay it off despite her best wishes to do something else with her existence. Ah well.
