Able is a well built, strong and sturdy guy. He’s not necessarily a tank, but he’s definitely not skin and bones either. He’s somewhere in the middle of average and muscular, his body favoring the more average side. Most of his strength is in his upper body; he’s not much of a runner. He's quite the scrapper in fights and can hold his own well.
Able is light skinned, though occasionally he’ll sport a light tan from working outside. His hair is somewhat curly and hangs in his face slightly. It goes down to the bottom of his neck, and is sometimes kept in a short ponytail. His hair is a dirty blonde color, with varying shades of blonde and brown in it. His eye color is best described as a golden amber type color.
Some humans are born with a tail, and Able is a member of this group. Able has a cougar tail. It’s a light tan color with a dark brown tip. Your average cougar pattern.
Able’s clothes change depending on where he is and the weather. What he is most commonly seen in though would be a white, long sleeve shirt(with the sleeves usually rolled up to his elbows). Covering that is usually a tan colored vest, covered with thin black vertical stripes. His pants are usually black in color. He has a gun holster on his hip. His shoes are black.
Occasionally he can also be seen sporting a black derby hat and round, black rimmed glasses.
Accessories/Pets:
He owns a revolver resembling a LeMat Revolver. Kept in the holster on his left hip.
Tripod. An almost solid white, three-legged male bull terrier. Born from one of the litters his dad’s dogs had. The only marking the dog has is a black ear(right ear). Was going to be killed because he was born missing his front left leg, but Able took him instead. The dog never leaves his side(except for when Able goes in buildings) and is awful protective of him.
Vyn. A stocky, palomino mare that he owns. She’s 13hands at the shoulder and has a white blaze and three white stockings. She’s mostly muscle and is far from being a racehorse. He uses her for traveling to places cars may not be able to get to.
[Personality]
Able is the type of guy who has a difficult time sitting still. He always has to be doing something, whether it’s working, talking, walking, inventing- it doesn’t matter. He’s an active individual, and it takes quite a bit to tire him out. He also has a one track mind and will rarely pay attention to anything else once he’s caught up with something else. This makes him a wonderful worker, and a decent guy for conversation- as long as you keep him away from his worktable. If you try to talk to him while he’s working on something, it would be best to give up.
To strangers he’s quite friendly, but don’t give him a reason to think your up to something. He carries a gun around for a reason and that’s definitely not to show it off. He’s the cautious type, and he’s not afraid to fight, shoot, or stab if it comes down to it. If you’re a stranger, don’t give him a reason to hate you or lose his trust and you’ll be fine.
If you eventually gain his full friendship, you’ll have an extremely loyal and protective friend. He won’t leave your side when you need help, as long as you don’t leave his. He’s quick to come to his friend’s aid, despite what it is that they may need.
For all the good a person has, they have some bad as well. Able is no different. His temper is very short and once it gets going, he goes from angry to violent very quickly. This being the main reason he keeps his weapons off of him when he’s at work or at some public places(otherwise they are on him at all times). So it’s usually a good idea to keep away from his temper. Mundane things don’t get to him, but he can be quite cocky at times and this is usually when he starts a fight.
A few smaller bad habits he has would be that he’s quite forgetful and can be pretty foul mouthed at times- he also tends to be a hypocrite at times. The worst thing about him though, is his extreme prejudice against those who have magic. He has an almost ridiculous fear of magic and the things it can do to people. He knows that not all magic is bad, but that still doesn’t mean he likes people who have it. He does not care if you’re the nicest person in the world, if he knows you have magic he will want absolutely nothing to do with you.
[Relationships]
Father- You took care of me growing up, so I have no ill feelings towards you. We really could fight less though. Still we’re both kind of stubborn and rude, so maybe that can’t be changed. Also you could have given me a better name, you uncreative jerk.
Mother- Thank you for abandoning me. No really, thank you.
Step Mother- Your actually pretty cool. I don’t know my real mom, but I’m glad you met my dad and married him.
[History]
Off Forum:
His parents had dated for a while, only to break up shortly before his mother found out she was pregnant. Not wanting to take care of a child by herself, she dropped him off at his father’s house along with a note and his father never saw her again. Needless to say, his father was not going to abandon his own son and took him in. So Able grew up motherless until he was about nine years old.
When he was nine, his mother had met a woman named Heidi. His father dated her for quite a few years before they married, but in that time she had already become like a mother to Able. Heidi loved to invent and fix things, which fostered Able’s own love for anything and everything mechanical.
Eventually he developed his own skills, which would later turn into him gaining a job as an engineer for airships- or a mechanic for smaller things such as cars. As he got older, his father eventually taught him how to handle firearms and ride horses.
He learned quite a few valuable and helpful skills from both his father and his step mother. So to say the least they helped him out a lot growing up, and he had a pretty good life because of them. His father and him fought a bit as he started getting older and becoming more independent, but he still loves his father regardless.
Though he fixes airships and smaller vehicles for a living, he invents or travels in his spare time. He hasn’t traveled to many places yet, since he has a job he needs to keep close to. He has made quite a few small, personal inventions though. Usually little things that help him work easier. He currently works in the same place he has worked since he was 20. The airship dome in Fossgate.
