Appearance:
Graham Walker is a nice looking man, though his features are quite ordinary. His height does not bring him soaring over the heads of others or leave him constantly walking tip-toed to see above heads in crowds. He has a thin yet sturdy build, much like home-made soup -- it fills you up good enough, but it still does not have the thickness of stew.
Atop Graham's head is a thick mat of dark brown hair. A shortly cut wave of hair also lightly spreads across his chin, thinly connecting to another stream of hair that resides neatly under his nose. Graham tries to keep his facial hair neat and tidy though when on "expeditions," he lets it grow a bit longer.
Graham's face is slightly angled, but nothing seems to stand out wildly. He has bright green eyes that lighten up his face quite a bit, as well as a nicely curved smile. His face usually carries a look of innocence and curiosity.
Graham has light olive colored skin which could use a good tan. His usual apparel consists of a long dark grey over coat with a navy blue scarf which hides a neat slightly stained off-white shirt. On his legs, he wears a pair of black pants which are mostly covered by a long pair of knee-high dark brown leather boots.
A light brown leather satchel usually accompanies Graham, holding his various research tools -- you can never be too sure of when you might come across a new species.
Personality:
Graham has a slightly charming personality which could be only a step above one of a polite school boy. He has a good head but can become carried away in day-dreams of adventures. He is respectful to his elders and he doesn't look down upon those younger than him.
Graham is quite a dedicated learner, and easily soaks up information. He is quite passionate about Ecology and can easily spend hours discussing or debating with others about this subject (whether they are interested or not). He strongly believes that the bomb made from the sun was wrong, and is constantly keeping his eyes open for even a whisper of a way to stop the decline of the planet.
Graham's social skills are slightly lacking. All those years spent studying have stalled his social life, and now he is finding that even though he could tell one a long list of plants and animals, he finds it hard to talk about anything else. He can sometimes be unable to see subtle hints of those around him and strays into trouble quite frequently. If one could ignore everything else and spend of time around him, they would find him to be quite charming and kind.
Very few things get Graham angry. He can get upset when people don't listen to him, or if someone wrongly accuses him, but he wont lose any sleep over it. He is truly comfortable when he is studying plants or animals and can get angry when in a heated discussion about these topics.
All in all, Graham is a dedicated scholar who holds the thoughts of adventure close to his heart. He is very interested in any aspect of his work and is very happy to talk to others about it though when it comes to other subjects, he can find it hard to step out of his comfort zone.
Just...try not to interrupt him when he is studying.
History:
Graham Walker's parents were both young professors at a University in Silvereye when they met each other. Almost immediately, they found that they got along quite well and would spend all their time together. After about a year when Gillian found out that she was to have a baby, the couple decided to get married. They couldn't be happier.
Not wanting to be away from either her baby or her work, Gillian Walker decided to bring Graham to work with her. He grew up playing with model ships and toy soldiers while listening to different lectures in the background. His parents were very strict on his education but he thrived in that environment.
Though not an outstandingly smart boy, Graham was very dedicated and would spend many long nights under his parent's watchful eyes studying. Easing into his teen years, Graham's social life was mainly limited to professors and students at the university. He learned very quickly how to have a good argument with his seniors as well as when to know to congratulate others on their accomplishments even when he wasn't interested so as to be polite.
At the age of sixteen, Graham started his schooling at the university, studying in his neither his Father's or Mother's specialties, being Engineering Science and Paleography respectfully. His interest was stolen by Ecology and he loved every aspect of it. After four tedious years, Graham finally decided that he would get out and find out things for himself rather than keep on reading the findings of others.
Thus, Graham Walker found himself leaving the University, his home away from home, into the harsh and corrupt world.
